Participation in studies

Who: Parents and children. We typically focus on elementary school aged children.

Where: Studies take place either at the University of Maryland (College Park, MD), in your home or online.

What: Most studies are behavioral. We ask questions similar to what your child would experience in school. This includes math questions and some simple games. Parents may be asked to complete surveys about their child’s experience in school and demographic information.

Every study is different. All details are provided before you sign up.

Why: As part of the College of Education we are committed to scholarship that contributes to our understanding of children’s outcomes in school. Our lab is very interested in children’s math learning and how to help all children have positive learning experiences with math.
